Why the Fenton Farmers Market Is One of My Favorite Parts of Summer
By Marissa Mayberry, The Pink Realtor
If you’ve lived in Fenton for any length of time, you already know that Thursdays just hit a little differently.
The Fenton Farmers Market isn’t just a place to grab fresh produce or homemade baked goods. It’s where our community comes together. It’s where neighbors catch up, kids dance to live music, local businesses shine, and everyone slows down just enough to enjoy everything that makes Fenton special.
One of my favorite moments is hearing someone say, “Hey… you’re the Pink Realtor!” Whether it’s someone I’ve helped buy or sell a home, a familiar face from around town, or someone introducing themselves for the first time, those conversations remind me why I love what I do.
As a Realtor, people often ask what makes Fenton such a great place to live. Honestly, this is it.
It’s supporting local farmers who work hard to bring fresh Michigan produce to our tables. It’s discovering handmade gifts you’ll never find in a big box store. It’s grabbing dinner from a food truck, listening to live music, and spending an evening downtown without feeling rushed.
The Farmers Market runs every Thursday evening from May through September in downtown Fenton, bringing together dozens of local vendors, artisans, and food creators. It’s become one of the community’s favorite summer traditions, and for good reason.
And if you’re reading this on a Thursday, you’re in for an extra treat. Tonight’s Rev Up Fenton Car Show fills downtown with beautiful classic cars, live entertainment, food trucks, shopping, and even more excitement alongside the Farmers Market. It’s one of the biggest nights of the summer in Fenton. (Explore Flint and Genesee)
Real estate has never been just about houses for me. It’s about helping people find a community they’ll love. Events like the Farmers Market remind me that buying a home isn’t just about the four walls. It’s about the life you get to build around it.
So if you haven’t been to the Fenton Farmers Market lately, make plans to stop by. Grab a peach, pick up some flowers, support a local maker, and take a stroll through downtown.
Who knows? You just might spot the Pink Realtor along the way.
See you around town!
